![]() Datin Fatimah Wan Chik |

Internet really not very friendly now-a-days!
Happy Deepavali….
These info taken from wikipedia just for sharing… enjoy!
Deepavali, or Diwali is a major Indian festival, and a significant festival in Hinduism, Sikhism and Jainism. [3] Many legends are associated with Diwali. Today it is celebrated by Hindus, Jains and Sikhs across the globe as the “Festival of Lights,” where the lights or lamps signify victory of good over the evil within every human being. The festival is also celebrated by Buddhists of Nepal, particularly the Newar Buddhists.
In many parts of India, it is the homecoming of King Rama of Ayodhya after a 14-year exile in the forest.[4] The people of Ayodhya (the capital of his kingdom) welcomed Rama by lighting rows (avali) of lamps (deepa), thus its name, Deepavali. This word, in due course, became Diwali in Hindi. But, in South Indian languages, the word did not undergo any change, and hence the festival is called Deepavali in southern India. Southern India marks it as the day Lord Krishna defeated the demon Narakasura.
Diwali is celebrated on the first day of the lunar Kartika month, which comes in the month of October or November.
In Jainism it marks the nirvana of Lord Mahavira, which occurred on October 15, 527 BCE. The Sikhs celebrate Diwali for a different reason; on this day, the Sixth Guru, Guru Hargobind Ji, was freed from imprisonment along with 53 Hindu Kings (political prisoners) whom he had arranged to be released as well. After his release he went to Darbar Sahib (golden temple) in the holy city of Amritsar. There, he was greeted by Sikhs and many other people. In happiness they lit candles and diyas to greet the Guru. In India, Diwali is now considered to be a national festival, and the aesthetic aspect of the festival is enjoyed by most Indians regardless of faith.[5]
Rain.. rain… and I am almost FROZEN…
It has been few days with non-stop rain and windy… the breeze so cold and I felt like am in the freezer… almost frozen! But that does not stop the good intention of people to get married. We spent our Saturday and Sunday with Wedding Reception shooting and also A Birthday Party. Lots of fun and most of all the adventure of meeting old friends along the way, making new friends, and learning new culture….
It’s really great and I am so glad that I am doing this job, it’s just my kind of thing and it really makes me happy and feeling re-fresh.
Partner and I have tons of pictures to touch up and also to upload but then streamyx were down for few days already ;-( Now we have to delay the uploading job again….
To all our clients; thanks for being with us patiently.

a little something for Sunday Morning
It is Sunday already…. and tomorrow gonna be another Monday… we will be back to office work again… Anybody still on holiday ? If yes, omg! I so jealous….
Anyway, I was cleaning D40x and playing around at home… I was just thinking that baby D40x was working rather hard these days and just wanna pamper him a little bit.
These are the beers collected from the 8-Ball Pool friendly match….. All sort of name and brand and origin… Some I never heard before…….
…and these are the collection from all the weddings I have been to… these are all from my clients’ wedding. I placed them all in one special layer around my TV rack. If you come to my place, the moment you go in, right infornt of the front door, you’ll see my TV rack and these lovely gifts are located at the right wing.
I love collecting them…. perhaps 1 day I will take picture of all one-by-one and post. Believe me, some are rather hard to find here and I think some of my client get them from KL……
….meeting with the bride to be….
Finally I got the chance to have some romantic time with my laptop and start to blog again…
I have a few more belated post which I have to postponed for the time being.
…. happy to congratulate Young Handsome Rahman and Young Pretty Yusrini on their wedding last Sunday. This young couple is very sweet and i felt so attached with the bride. She is beautiful and very sweet young girl or should I re-brand that to “you lady”. Very soft-spoken and polite too…..
The wedding goes as plan and we had lots of fun shooting their special day.
To Rahman & Yusrini, thanks for giving us the honour to be the official photographer on your special day!
Last Sunday, right after we finish the pose session, we have a little chat with the couple and family member at their kitchen and had something to eat. The family was so friendly and nice and for a while I felt like family too… It’s was really nice to be around them… feel like you are part of the family member too…
Owh, back to my story… when we were about to leave, a friend called for another wedding assignment and wanted to see our sample… I was thinking that since her house is just nearby, might as well give her a visit cause I know once I am back home, it will be rather hard for me to go out anymore, specially after such a long day.
So me and partner went to her house (name to be kept secret until time is right for the sweet reveal kay.. sabar ya). Actually she is an aunt to the bridegroom but she had to help the bridegroom to arrange some of the wedding affair as he is currently out of town.
By the way, so today, after work, we went to her beautiful house to meet the bride and discuss further about the package and to get along of course! Owh wait, before that… I must share this with you all… Her house is so beautiful. I love it! It has kind of Bali’s style.
…. at once me and my partner already thinking about having some pre-wedding shots at her house.. Can’t wait till then… Also I might want to project her house (provided the owner agree to it)… probably take few shots and do some interview then will try to write an article about it here.. ops! Sounds like a big plan there…. it’s just a thought la.. and one thing I must share a well, this couple (the house owner a.k.a the aunt and uncle of the future bridegroom also a very sweet couple, warm, loving and funny).
Not only we we welcome so warmly, we were served with delicious mee basah too.. (sttt.. don’t tell her, but her mee basah so yummy! FYI, I had 2 rounds of the mee basah, despite that I had my sandwich for dinner earlier on ~ still can fit in 2 bowl of mee basah, now you know how delicious it is, rite?).
Okay.. back to ‘the meeting with the bride’…. she is beautiful, her face is so smooth and she surely know how to deal with hair and make up. Very funny and friendly too… It wasn’t hard to get a long with her at all. She was really nice to talk too. We talk from photography, wedding stuffs and ends up chit chatting about horror stories.. Whooaaa… for a while I was feeling urrm… goosebum!
Teringat pula dulu time kecil-kecil bila balik kampung and kumpul with all my cousins. We like to gather and get up to my granny’s first floor and seat near the front door and switch off all the light and starts to share some ghost stories. So siok eh! You know the feeling like so scare but yet so eager to know the story, to know how, when and then what is the end of the story.
But hye! it was fun, apart from enjoying the “mee basah” and some Raya Cookies, we had a good chat, good laugh and on top of all that, I have made some new friends too… I mean of course they are my client but at the same time, they are now my friend too..
Isn’t that just great, I have new friends! My friend list added and me likey…
Ermmm…. I’ve to stop now… it’s already 20 minutes passed 12am and I have to get up early tomorrow morning and it will be another long day for me cause we will have another meeting after 6pm.
No.. no.. I am not complaining.. I enjoy meeting people!
bye for now and hope to write again so.. hopefully by then, we can share some photos.
….Good nite!
